Karen Heuman moved to Camp Verde in 2003 from the Valley of the Sun. She spent over 30 years in the customer service field, seventeen of those years in the publishing business, and then in the construction field. Karen worked as a school secretary for the Cottonwood-Oak Creek School District for 5 years, and then as a project manager for Shrader & Martinez Construction of Sedona until she retired.
Karen’s volunteer service includes serving as a Library Advisory Commissioner for the Town of Camp Verde for 2 ½ years until the Commission’s temporary suspension. She is currently secretary for the Friends of Camp Verde Community Library. For three years, Karen served as President of “Building for a Better Tomorrow,” a Phoenix non-profit corporation working with Homeward Bound families to transition them from homelessness to home ownership.
