Jane holds a BS in Business Management from Arizona State University, an MA in Sustainable Communities and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Northern Arizona University. She is Principal/Senior Research Associate of RCI Surveys, Inc. She was a founding member of Verde Valley Land Preservation, Inc., and has served on numerous boards and civic committees in the Verde Valley, including Verde Valley Forum for Public Affairs, Verde Valley Caregivers, Yavapai County Community Foundation and the Camp Verde Planning and Zoning Commission. She currently serves as Interim President of the Phillip England Center for Performing Arts Foundation.

Jane is the mother of four children and grandmother of ten, and lives with her husband Marshall in Camp Verde. She enjoys playing piano and organ, reading, political intrigue (especially in election years), environmental policy analysis, classic movies, gardening, the rugged northern California coast and spending time with her children and grandchildren, as well as Marshall's son and his family.
